Major changes in the Lux horizon. We decided to CANCEL our West Coast tour. Very sad but true. Reasons being that we have a ton on our plate right now and a tour is an extravagant ordeal that we felt staying in Chicago for May was just an all around better idea. Since well be staying here we will be releasing a brand new song DISCO LIGHT and the video very soon after that. We are so stoked about this song. Both Fonz and I agree its been a while since we released a new song that we were truly truly excited about. This summer will be insane. We can't wait!!

MORNING!
WHEWEE. So if you weren't at our show last Thursday you missed an epic night. But don't fret go to this LINK to watch the entire show. It takes two seconds to create a profile and then you can view tons of archived shows that have played at the Double Door and for future shows as well. Oh yeah and it's FREE. Anyway we had a blast. Moon Furies killed it and as always Perfect kiss killed it. Distant Cities was great can't wait to see them blow up in the Chicago scene.
NEWS- Glass Lux wrote a brand new song, DISCO LIGHT. Believe me when I tell you this it's your new summertime theme. We love love love this new music baby we've made. Just as soon as we hit the recording studio and get everything clean and peachy it'll make its way to your ears. Prom prom.
Still working on our west coast tour. Its about a month.5 away.

GOOD TO BE BACH
Wow ! Hi okay so Glass Lux is back from AUSTIN. South by South West was amazing to say the very least. We truly had a blast. We played some really rad shows, made some new friends and bonded as band which is quite priceless. The van broke down and we had some minor issues but everything worked out. We are here aren't we?? We had the craziest opportunity to open up for MOS DEF. Yeah random but awesome right? All thanks to a good friend of ours Hollywood Hold aka Nigel Holt. He and guy named Joel put on a show every year down at SX called Chocolate Sundays and Mos Def was a surprises to us all the day of the show. We had almost no video from Austin.. Anybody take any while there? Photos even? Please send them our way and we will credit you.
OK I feel like everyone is sick of everyone talking about how rad SXSW was and blah blah blah FINE. I'm done. I think i just keep going on about it cause I miss that 80 degree weather. Nothing like coming back to ol 27 degree Chicaggy. Le sigh..
SO on for news. We are recording a live studio session this up coming Monday. Yes, we have been putting it on the back burner and postponing the shit out of it but hey, life happens. But seriously though well get you that live session. We're excited. It's gonna be rad. THENNNNNN that Thursday 3/28 BIG SHOW ..Double Door here in Chicago YEHAW!!

SX MF SW
WOWEE.
So hey hope yall are having a lovely week. Sure know we are! So hectic, stressfull busy blah blah blah.. Who knew planning this tour down to SXSW was so extracting? We are drained and still, more to accomplish. We will post the dates, locations and times for all our shows this upcoming week. If you recognize us down there don't be shy! SAY HI There is no time for shyness during SXSW. OK that's our update on the future update that will actually matter..

SXSW in less than a month! YAY. . Well be playing shows on the way down to Austin with PERFECT KISS . We have most of the dates confirmed but until we do we wont announce them just yet ;)
OH and for you guys over in the west coast we are so so so so excited to announce we will be heading your way in MAY for a solo tour. Really couldn't come soon enough. We have about 19 dates on the way to LA from Chicago (maybe more) We will release the dates soon. We can't wait to meet new faces and make new friends.
AND- Today we are shooting a LIVE studio session .. should be up by tomorrow or so. We are trying some new things. Ok ta ta babies!

HAPPY FEBRUARY!
But is it happy ? If you haven't already fallen on your ass from slippery unkempt sidewalks you don't know winter... at least Chicago winter. Hope everyone is surviving though. Once this month is over everything will be on the up and up. Jan/Feb are the WORST! So depressing right? Don't freak out if you don't have a Valentine next week. Most don't. Just go out and party. Most times a bartender will feel bad if you are sitting alone and buy you at least one sympathy drink. Free dranks YEH!
So for news- Launched brand new website. Looong overdue. Thank you to all that came to our show at Grand Bar last week despite the frigid temps and so many big events happening that exact night. Next Tuesday we are playing the Rock for Kids charity event presented by Rockit Ranch Productions. There is a $20 donation and free drinks inside as well as food. Please come and support a great cause!
So we got into Rax Trax on Wednesday to track drums and synths. I have been sick with a wicked cold so I've been hibernating in a couch cave for almost the whole week so I couldn't do vocals.Rescheduling for a later date. Womp womp. I'm feeling much much better and pretty positive I'll be ready for Tuesdays show. Yehaw!
OH almost forgot we got confirmed for 1 show for SXSW so far.. still waiting on a few more.Seems like everything that has to do with SX is so last minute Right? But we are sooo excited. Last year was a mess but still fun. Hope to see Chicago faces there!

Oh hai guys,
So just a couple things we wanted to let y'all in on.. recently we've been taking a lot of meetings and figuring out Glass Lux ins and out, yeses and no's and the ways of the road we are on.
About a year ago Fonz and I went into the studio to record our first E.P.You may have noticed that we removed all tracks from all of our websites except I'm A Machine. ..Pls don't fret! We have decided to re-record everything and add tweaks + release BRAND NEW songs onto a full length album.YAY. We will be working with some really talented people.We are super grateful to all the people helping us on this journey.
OH before I forget.. the 31st of this month.. We will be doing a set at GRAND BAR corner of Ashland and Grand. Come. We shall dance with the moon.
